Lucinda Adopted 7-28-25

Elegant. Sensitive. Surprisingly playful.

Lucinda is the kind of cat who quietly claims a piece of your heart—one slow blink at a time. Since arriving from Kuwait this stunning white beauty with diamond-yellow eyes has been learning the art of trust, and in return, teaching us the beauty of patience.

Her Personality:

Lucinda is a gentle soul who thrives on calm energy and mutual respect. She doesn’t just give love freely—she offers it with intention. She prefers to initiate affection, but once she chooses you, the reward is sweet: soft purrs, tender head bumps, and the kind of lap cuddles that feel like a quiet victory.

She's a lap cat when she wants to be, and a high-flying, wand-chasing athlete when the mood strikes. Lucinda is especially smitten with “wormy” wand toys, which she’ll leap and twist to catch with all the grace of a ballerina in midair. She’s playful, curious, and full of personality—but she needs the right kind of home to let it shine.

Lucinda doesn’t like to be rushed. She startles easily and doesn’t appreciate loud voices, sudden movements, or tail-end surprise pets (we’ve all been warned). While she may show her belly, she’s a bit of a trickster—there’s only a 50% chance she actually wants it rubbed. But chin rubs? Always a yes.

Her Journey:

Lucinda came to us a little unsure of people, preferring to observe from a distance. But over just a few weeks, she’s transformed into a more confident, playful girl—engaging with our junior volunteers, exploring her space, and showing more of her silly, affectionate side each day. She’s not a “beginner cat,” but she is an incredible cat for someone who sees the value in going slow and building trust.

The Ideal Home:

Lucinda is looking for a quiet, stable home with patient humans who understand feline body language and appreciate the subtleties of a relationship built on mutual respect. No small children or loud, chaotic energy for this lady. Lucinda prefers to be the only pet in the home, where she can relax and connect at her own pace without the stress of sharing her space.

She needs a home with a cozy corner to call her own—somewhere she can retreat when the world feels too big, and emerge when she’s ready to shine.

Why Lucinda?

Because she’s magic. Because she’s mystery. Because when she finally decides that you are her person… you’ll feel like you’ve won the heart of the moon.

Rescue Story

Lucinda started out as one of the street cats we used to feed. She was always so sweet and friendly. Every time she saw us, she would run over like she was genuinely happy to see us, and would greet us with the sweetest meows. It was impossible not to fall in love with her.

As the weather got colder and the rain started coming more often, we noticed Lucinda doing something that worried us. She had started hiding inside car engines to stay warm unaware of the danger she was getting herself into.
Then one day, time almost ran out for her. We saw her crawl into the motor of a parked car, and at the exact same time, the car’s owner was walking over with his keys, about to start the engine. Our hearts stopped. Without thinking, we rushed in and stopped him just in time. Lucinda peeked out, confused but safe. Barely.
That was the moment we knew she couldn’t stay on the street a moment longer. She had trusted us with her life, and now it was our turn to protect it.

That day, Lucinda went from being a street cat to part of a family. And though she may have been close to losing one of her nine lives, she gained a whole new one filled with warmth, safety, and love. (via Angels with Paw Prints- Kuwait)
