Shafi is a striking young gentleman with a plush silver coat, bottomless green eyes, and a watchful heart. He’s a cat who observes before he acts, who listens before he speaks (though once he trusts you, he’s quite the talker), and who forms deep bonds with the people patient enough to see past his initial hesitation.

His Personality:

At first glance, Shafi might seem reserved, even aloof—but that’s just his way of navigating a busy world. Loud noises, crowded spaces, and too much activity all make him retreat. But give him a quiet room and your calm presence? He’ll reveal his softer side.

Shafi thrives in one-on-one connections. He’ll follow you around the house like a curious shadow, meowing his thoughts and watching your every move with those vivid green eyes. While not always a fan of being picked up, he adores gentle head rubs—especially the kind that lull him into a peaceful nap.

He’s playful, too, in his own cheeky way. He enjoys toys and will occasionally launch surprise “cat bully” antics when he thinks no one’s watching. He has a mischievous streak tucked behind that dignified British Shorthair expression.

His Journey:

Shafi has been through more than most cats his age. His cautious nature is a reflection of that history—but so is his hope. Every day, he shows us that he wants connection. He wants a person of his own. He just needs a home where he can feel safe, settle in at his own pace, and be loved for exactly who he is.

He’s made wonderful progress at The Fur Seasons and continues to blossom when given quiet companionship and understanding. He hides when there’s a crowd, but shine a little love his way—and he’ll show you his whole heart.

The Ideal Home:

Shafi is looking for a calm, low-traffic home with an adult (or adults) who appreciate quiet mornings, cozy routines, and feline companionship on his terms. He’d love to be the only cat in your life, but may also do well with a mellow feline companion given proper introductions.

No small kids, no loud chaos—just a soft place to land, a safe corner to observe from, and a human who gets that trust is earned and love grows in quiet places.

Rescue Story

A rescuer in my native land was at the local ministry preparing documents for other kitties to fly to the United States. She found me sleeping on a chair nearby and took the time to greet me. She couldn’t help but notice I was very skinny and extremely hungry. In the kindness of her heart, she offered me a ride home to provide safety and kindness. I am so grateful for her. I am so excited to be travelling to the United States where I can find my forever home and a family that loves me that I can love back. (via a rescuer friend in Kuwait)
