My Story
Atlas: A Quiet Beginning on a Loud Street
Hi… I’m Atlas.
If you’re reading this, maybe your heart just whispered the same thing mine has been saying for months: “Maybe this is the one.”
I’m a Siberian boy, one to two years young, with the softest brown-and-white fur—like warm cocoa stirred with cream. But it’s the heart underneath that’s really asking to be noticed.
I was found on the edge of a busy road in Kuwait, cars roaring past like thunder, the sun burning, the noise never stopping. I was so small in all that chaos. I didn’t know why I was alone or how long I’d been there. I just knew I was tired of being scared. So when those kind hands reached for me, I didn’t run. I walked right into them. I pressed my face against a shirt that smelled like hope, and for the first time in forever, I let my body go soft. They carried me away from the danger, and I’ve never looked back.
Safe at Last—and Ready for You
Now I’m healthy, happy, and ready for real life. Vaccinated, neutered, dewormed, tested negative for FIV and FeLV—everything checked and perfect.
I do have a couple of reminders from my rough start: A unique, slightly uneven stride from previous fractures (they left me with my own special way of moving that doesn't slow me down or cause any pain now), and some facial trauma that means my tongue sometimes sticks out a little—especially when I'm relaxed or purring. It just makes my "blep" extra endearing, and it doesn't affect my eating, drinking, or grooming at all.
But none of that matters as much as this one truth: I was made for closeness.
I want to be your shadow in the sweetest way. I’ll follow you from bedroom to kitchen, sit on the bathmat while you shower just to hear your voice, and when you finally sit down, I’ll climb into your lap like it’s the only place I’ve ever belonged. My purr starts deep inside and rolls out like I’m telling you my biggest secret: You are my home now.
What I Need Most
I don’t need fancy toys or towering cat trees. Just your hand resting on my back. Just your quiet breathing beside me at night. Just the certainty that when I look up, you’ll be there, looking back with the same gentle eyes that saved me.
Because my heart has been broken enough, I ask for one important thing: please let me be your only cat. I want to pour every drop of love I have into one person, one lap, one life. No sharing, no uncertainty—just us. I’m still learning about dogs and children, but calm, patient adults who speak softly and move slowly? Those are my people. Those are the ones I trust with everything.
The Simple Dreams I Hold
I dream of ordinary, beautiful things now:
· Waking up with your heartbeat under my cheek
· Stealing your warm spot on the couch the second you stand
· Greeting you at the door with my tail high and my tiny “mrrp?” that really means “I missed you more than words can say”
· Growing old beside you, purring through every quiet evening
I’m Waiting… and Hoping
I’m ready when you are.
If your heart feels that gentle pull—if you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate boy who will adore you with his whole being, quirks and all—maybe we’ve been looking for each other all along.
Forever yours if you’ll have me,
Atlas
