Who We Are

The Fur Seasons is a Madison Wisconsin-based 501c3 focused on feline rescue and adoption placement of exotic/purebred breeds. While the entity was recently established, the founding members have several years working with reputable and respected rescue organizations in the U.S. and abroad.

The Fur Seasons was born from a passion to advocate for the feline. The reality of abuse and abandonment is a growing reality demanding human commitment to purposefully intervene and aid to the highest ability possible. We consider cats that are placed in The Fur Seasons as distinguished guests.

Tom and Amy McGuire

“Our core purpose is to provide a destination where rescue, rehabilitation, healthcare, and the loving interaction of humans are used to transition the once abandoned or abused into a lifetime of stability and love.”

Our Mission

It is our mission to engage all needed steps to aid in coordination of transportation for our guests to The Fur Seasons, ensure that they have access to vital health care needs including spay/neuter procedures, veterinary care, and grooming, comfortable housing, activities, a thoroughly protective adoption process, and lots of human love until they are ready to leave our destination.

We intentionally work with rescue operations to place “guests” in The Fur Seasons family where we feel that our impact is most meaningful. Our primary specialization is exotic/purebred cats that have been abandoned, abused, or placed in danger. We will always consider situations of need for any cat breed however.

We feel that educational awareness, community involvement, and networking to promote an opportunity for a life of safety and happiness for these rescued guests is the foundation for all that the Fur Seasons commits to accomplishing.
